Program: Bromeliads: A Well-Kept Secret

Although Marlys and Jan have provided counsel and support to several gardens in the Jacksonville area, their primary garden home is the Mandarin Garden Club, 2892 Loretto Rd., Jacksonville. The club hosts more than two plus acres of 17 different demonstration gardens, including an extensive Bromeliad garden. The gardens reflect a 33 year joint venture between the Duval County Extension Office and the University of Florida.

Marlys and Jan are excited to share their vast gardening experience, especially their love of the Bromeliad family of plants, which contains thousands of species, 16 of which are native to Florida.
